St Ursula’s spreads hope one slipper at a time

According to school principal Diane Granger, learners wore slippers as part of an initiative to support children with life-threatening illnesses.

She said the annual fundraising drive brings South Africans together to show solidarity with children in need. Participants were encouraged to buy R20 Slipper Day stickers and wear their slippers in public, whether in classrooms or boardrooms.

Proceeds go to Reach for a Dream, with sticker sales contributing directly to fulfilling the dreams of children battling life-threatening illnesses. The initiative serves as a reminder that these children are seen, supported and that their dreams matter.
