Rumours about children’s home false
Rumours arise about Baby Moses Sanctuary after a post on Facebook gets out of control.

A rumour posted on a social media page about Baby Moses Sanctuary has readers jumping to all sorts of conclusions.
A post on the Krugersdorp Network Community page on Facebook suggested that the sanctuary was in dire need of household goods after the house parents allegedly stole most of it.
The post also reads that the house parents left the children unattended.
Lanie de Klerk, founder of Baby Moses denied the claims posted on Facebook and said the comments made by some members of the group were also false.
“There was no theft at the house, nor were the children left unattended, but rather it is the beginning of a new chapter for Baby Moses.”
The house parents, who are pensioners, have resigned a week ago and since moved out.
De Klerk did not want to disclose what exactly led to the resigning of the house parents, but would like to ensure the community that Baby Moses will continue to look after the children as per usual.
“Nothing more is needed in the house,” De Klerk confirmed about the allegations about the house being in trouble.
The community need not worry as a temporary house parent has been placed with the children who are well looked after and loved.
De Klerk is, however, currently interviewing applicants to be the new house parents for the seven children who reside in the house situated in Krugersdorp North.
“I am looking for someone with a passion for children who is a positive parenting model,” she said.
She added that whatever happened last week is water under the bridge and is now focusing on moving forward.
“Thank you to each and every person in the community for your great support over the years. We are looking forward to a new era and welcome any help and donations from the community who would like to take hands with Baby Moses on this journey.”
