[SHOCKING PHOTO] Head-on collision leaves one dead

A head-on collision on the R563 in Hekpoort yesterday morning left one dead.

A report from the scene indicates that a heavy goods truck and a car collided head-on. However, exact details to the cause of the crash remain a subject for police investigation.

“Netcare 911 paramedics found the driver of the car still trapped in the mangled wreck,” said Chris Botha, Netcare 911’s media liaison officer.

Tragically, the man died at the scene due to his extensive injuries.

According to paramedics the driver of the truck escaped uninjured.
