Three arrested for stolen goods worth R10 000

Three men were arrested in connection with a house break-in and theft of goods worth R10 000.

After a plot owner in Tarlton reported a break-in at her house and on the same day the three men were arrested.

On Thursday (15 October) three men were arrested for housebreaking and theft related to the case that was opened by a homeowner in Hillside.

The suspects aged 23, 24 and 25 allegedly stole a copper cable and cast iron lights to the value of R10 000.

“The victim alleged that her house was broken into either on Wednesday (14 October) or Thursday (15 October) when she was not at home,” Tarlton police spokesperson, Constable Lucky Matome, said.

“The complaint added that few valuable items were taken from her house which include the copper cable and the cast iron lights,” he said.

All three suspects made a brief appearance in court on 19 October.
