The foundation of beauty

Legendary make-up artist teaches women the tricks of the trade.

A group of Aroeka Fitness beauties had a special rendezvous where they learned about being beautiful, inside and out.

A make-up workshop, presented by local make-up guru and businesswoman Lizanne Spangenberg, had the women sitting on the edge of their seats.

With 17 years’ experience in the beauty industry, Lizanne has worked on productions such as the Miss South Africa pageant and Egoli. Along with her assistant from the Art of Make-up, Lizanne shared some tricks of the trade when it comes to applying make-up.

The morning’s proceedings were opened by Prinses Susan Fourie, founder of Aroeka Fitness, who gave a touching speech about how feeling beautiful can motivate women into believing in themselves.

“When you look good, you feel good and you do good,” Susan said.

The women learned how to apply make-up correctly and the dos and don’ts when it comes to colour.

With summer around the corner Lizanne reminded women always to wear sunblock to protect their skins especially with the continuous heatwaves experienced currently.

The event was ended with lunch and a very special message from Susan: “For pretty lips, wear a smile; for beautiful eyes read God’s words and for glamorous cheeks, wear God’s glow of light on your life’s foundation.”
