Free healthcare screenings for residents
“Care is, after all, at the heart of everything we have stood for at Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital for over 60 years.”

Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital is offering free health screenings to West Rand residents on Friday.
“The screenings will include blood sugar, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings. Body mass index (BMI), weight and height will also be measured in order to provide individuals with a full picture of their personal health and wellness,” says Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital’s general manager Motlalentoa Motsoane.
The screenings will be available to members of the public at the hospital’s health awareness day, Friday 27 November, between 8am and 1pm, on a first-come first-served basis.
Doctors and other healthcare professionals will be on hand to provide medical, dietary and general healthcare advice. There will also be voluntary counselling and HIV testing.
“Health is a vital asset for each and every one of us. That is why we want to encourage members of the public and hospital staff to avail themselves of the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to their personal wellbeing ahead of the festive season and 2016. We hope people will take full advantage of this,” he says.
According to Motsoane the season of goodwill is the perfect time for the hospital to give back to the community and to thank the people of Krugersdorp and surrounding areas for their enduring support.
“Care is, after all, at the heart of everything we have stood for at Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital for over 60 years,” says Motsoane.
“Statistics from the World Health Organisation reveal that non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes, are by far the leading cause of death in the world, representing 63 percent of all annual deaths worldwide. Regular health screenings are therefore becoming more important than ever,” Motsoane concludes.
