Six Magaliesburg Police officers were promoted recently.
On 23 November Lieutenant Colonel NJ Julla, the station commander, congratulated and reminded the six officers of the responsibility they have towards the community they serve.
“You must set an example to junior members of the force and remain as committed as you are,” she said.
She added that police officers should take care to apply their minds to their jobs so that they do not jeopardise their jobs.
“Captain Van Rooyen, the Visible Policing commander and Lieutenant Motau, the detective commander also gave the members words of encouragement,” Constable Rebecca Phithi, police spokesperson said.
From the six members, five of them were promoted from Constable to Sergeant – Detective Constable Simali, Detective Constable Segone, Constable Lethetsa, Constable Tongwane and Constable Lehihi. Sergeant Makhubela was promoted to a Warrant Officer.
