[VIDEO] Funny man back in town

Trevor Noah and other stand-up comedians entertained an enthusiastic crowd on Friday, preparing for more shows to come.

With some audience members arriving half an hour late due to N14 traffic hold-ups, the International Comedy Festival at Silverstar kept everyone up until late.

But was it worth it?

Comedians such as Tats Nkonzo, Schalk Bezuidenhout and finally the main act, Trevor Noah, had the audience laughing so hard, it seemed a late night was not a problem.

The festival brought local-now-international comedian Trevor back home for a few shows at The Globe. His jokes stirred the audience and left some with aching cheeks and stomachs by the end of the night.

Joking about race, religion, ethnicity and gender could leave you a bit uncomfortable, but amused none the less.

From 25 November to 5 December people can see international comedy acts live at the casino in The Globe, the Comedy Cube or Parker’s Comedy and Jive with tickets ranging from R120 to R650.
