The bail follows after many failed application attempts in November which also saw hundreds of community members show their support towards the cops.

After the graphic CCTV footage of the incident went viral, the cops handed themselves over to police on 2 November.

They spent a total of 37 days behind bars.

The cops are scheduled to make their next appearance in court on 25 February facing a Schedule 5 charge of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
