Future spiritual leaders graduate

A group of counselling students have graduated and vowed to keep changing the lives of people within the community.

The Torah Based Healing College (TBH) recently celebrated many of its students’ graduation.

The school has been involved in many community outreach programmes such as the renovation of the Light Centre for Children with Disabilities and many of its students now are leaders within the community.

Desiré Harmse is a facilitator at the Dynamix Aftercare programme and now also a TBH graduate and student of the year. Dynamix aims to change the lives of people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction.

Professor Mary-Anne (Maki) Klopper has been a counsellor for many years after she started TBH.

“I have a passion for counselling,” she said.

She has accumulated a wealth of experience and developed and facilitates a number of Torah Based Healing counselling courses.

“TBH offers a four-year course. Students are awarded with a certificate after the first year, a diploma after the second year, a degree after their third year and an honours degree after completion of the fourth year,” she explained.

These graduates will set out to change lives in the community as they have been doing for the last year.
