Temperatures forcasted verging on 40°C

This week is forecasted to be an extremely warm one.

Krugersdorpers, among many other South Africans, may have to embrace yet another heatwave about to hit with temperatures soaring to 39°C.

The South African Weather Services has issued a warning for the south-western provinces to look out for veld fires and extreme heat. Heat in Gauteng will, however, also increase alarmingly within the week.

According to the weather service Pretoria will feel temperatures up to 40°C by Thursday. In Johannesburg the highest temperature forecasted will be 39°C on Thursday with a minimum temperature of 20°C.

Temperature will seemingly soar on Thursday just as the heat subsides to cooler temperatures and more rain on Friday.

These are the temperatures for this week as set out by the weather service:

Tomorrow: Maximum temperature of 36°C and minimum 17°C with no chance rain.

Wednesday: Maximum of 38°C and minimum 18°C with no chance of rain.

Thursday: Maximum of 39°C and minimum of 20°C with a 30 percent chance of rain.
