BREAKING: Chamdor protest ‘getting out of control’
Police are urging drivers to steer clear of Tudor road.
Although it is not clear yet why Chamdor residents are attacking police, motorists are urged to steer clear of Tudor Road.
Papi Motaung, Mogale City Traffic Department spokesperson, informed the News of a protest that started early this morning.
“They set alight a bakkie and are throwing stones at police,” he said.
He confirmed police were using tear gas to control the crowd, “but they keep coming back.”
Motaung added that a large group of children did not attend school today.
Mogale City allegedly is bringing food parcels to the children who are hiding from the chaos.
