More destruction after rainfall

Krugersdorp West hit the hardest after a heavy rain storm.

Yesterday afternoon’s storm left parts of Krugersdorp, especially Krugersdorp West, with severe storm damage.

Flooded roads, damage to property and an overflowing storm water canal were just some of the destruction residents witnessed after the heavens opened up with rain and hail around 3pm.

Residents took to Facebook to share their disgust with the local council for failing to uphold the overflow system running through Krugersdorp West.

Most residents had severe damage to their driveways, their backyards and the roads since Mogale City decided to replaced all the water pipes last year.

Most of the pavements that were dug up by the council still have not been repaired which results in a great mess every time a storm descends on Krugersdorp.

Some parts of Krugersdorp have also been without power due to the lightning, but the News is aware that technicians are working on the situation.
