[VIDEO] Hard-hitting doccie to be repeated
'Mogale – The Brave One' will be rebroadcast on DStv channel 190 and GOtv, channel 65.

Mogale – The Brave One, a no-holds barred documentary that aired on DStv’s ED channel and uncovered the social decay of parts of Krugersdorp, has had a profound positive impact.
The documentary, produced by Urban Brew Studios, told a stark and sad reality of the rapid increase in drug abuse, building hijacking, prostitution, trafficking and corruption within the area.
News journalist, Marizka Coetzer said when it aired in early February it was a wake-up call for the community, “It shocked the community as people never knew how bad the situation was until they saw the doccie. It had a lasting impact and various positive community projects have started as a result.”
Coetzer said a day after the documentary aired, which uncovered alleged police corruption, the station commander was transferred to the head office with immediate effect. She added that suspicious activity in a notorious street also seemed to drop and a dilapidated park has been cleaned up.
Many community members are now actively involved in efforts to uplift the town. The Community Policing Forum has expanded and a local NGO has evicted the occupants of a drug house to make way for a house of refuge.
Mogale – The Brave One will be rebroadcast on DStv channel 190 and GOtv, channel 65 on Monday 28 March at 8.55pm, Tuesday 29 March at 1.55pm and 4.55pm, Sunday 3 April at 2.40pm and 10.10pm.
