Police lay down the law in drug hub
Police exercised a no tolerance approach to Krugersdorp's notorious drug hub.
The hustle and bustle of Krugersdorp’s notorious drug hub came to a brief standstill after police conducted another raid.
Upon arrival the News, a group of police vehicles were parked at a block of flats in Sivewright Street and police were busy raiding the property.

Around eight police vehicles, along with members from the Department of Home Affairs, Mogale City’s Public Safety and the Traffic Department surrounded the block of flats. On the sidewalk sat a group of foreign nationals, all believed to be Nigerian, as their permits were being scanned by members of the Department of Home Affairs.
Curious residents in the neighbourhood stood in crowds in the street to get a glimpse of the police operation.
Here they had the opportunity to give the officers on the scene information about the illegal activity in the area.
Although no statistics have yet been released about the raid, an informant told the News that it was very successful.
