Theater fun in aid of local orphanage
An afternoon of musical fun in aid of expanding a local children's home to make space for a more orphaned children.
The local orphanage, The Bethany House Trust, is hosting a fun-filled afternoon to raise funds for the completion of extensions at the property.
The Trust was established in 1988 and is registered as a Children Charity trust within the High Court as a non-profit organisation and with the South African Department of Social Development. It is also a public benefit organisation registered at the South African Revenue Service (Sars).
“It is with great excitement that we cordially invite you to the musical ‘Bonfire Hearts’, a tribute to the greatest songwriters of all times at the Barnyard Theater,” Marina Hough, one of the event organisers said.
With their first project for 2016, the Friends of The Bethany House Trust has taken a giant leap of faith by booking out the full theater in hopes of raising R50 000.
The extension of the premises will enable the organisation, which houses 60 children, to expand its care to 120 children in need along with other projects.
The event will be hosted at the Barnyard in Cresta on 17 April from 2pm.
Tables of 12, 10 or eight can be booked for the event and smaller seating is available. Tickets are R180 per person.
