Watch: Athletes pull 14-tonne truck through Krugersdorp for charity
20 athletes take on an epic cross-country endurance challenge from Pretoria to Cape Town to rally communities together.
Krugersdorp was the latest stop for The Bigg Pull, with the team crossing the Krugersdorp border at around noon today.
The Krugersdorp News stationed itself at the intersection of Voortrekker Road and Paardekraal Drive, where the team passed at about 15:25.
As The News previously reported, a 14-tonne truck is being pulled from Pretoria to Cape Town by 20 athletes.
The initiative combines physical endurance with a message of national unity and community involvement, while raising awareness and support for charities along the route.

Endurance challenge returns
The challenge, which first took place in 2003, returns this year and passes through Krugersdorp via the N14 and R28 as the team makes its way towards the Western Cape.
“Along the way, the team passes through town after town, pulling communities into one shared story of strength, endurance and unity, broadcast live every day,” the organisers explain on their website.
As the team passed through Krugersdorp, a small crowd of spectators gathered at the intersection, while traffic police escorted the truck.
Motorists hooted in support as the men continued pulling the truck towards their next destination, Randfontein.
