More disturbing details surface following last night’s bizarre shooting of a family pet.

It is believed the 60-year-old owner of the dog was in a foul mood which quickly escalated resulting in him going into his house, taking his wife’s firearm and opening fire on the dog.
Five bullet cases of a 9mm firearm were retrieved from the property of which four were shot at the dog.
His wife allegedly took cover in the house under a bed and called for help stating that her husband is hysterical and has started shooting the dog.
Police arrived on the scene and found the wife sitting on the pavement weeping over their dog’s death.
“The man was taken into police custody. He will be charged for discharging a firearm in a municipal area. He will make an appearance in court soon,” Krugersdorp West Rand Cluster spokesperson, Constable Lucky Matome said.
Comments on Facebook suggest that the owner may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
