Two robbers are still at large after trespassing a family farm house in Magaliesburg, police said.
According to police spokesperson, Constable Rebecca Phithi, a woman was attacked at the house at about 8am on Monday (16 May) morning by the unknown suspects who threatened her with a knife.
“She was forced, after having a knife pointed at her throat, to open the safe where they took a .22 rifle and cash,” she said.
One of the suspects tied the woman up and taped her mouth.
After instructing the woman not to move for an hour, the suspects fled, leaving the firearm outside the house.
“No suspects have been arrested yet, but the K9 unit is helping to track them down,” Phithi concluded.
If you have any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects, contact the Magaliesburg police station at 014 577 5100 or call the Crime Stop Tip off line, albeit anonymously, on 08600 10111 or send an sms to the Crime Line on 32211.
