1 480 tyres inspected in four hours
In preparation for the school holidays, Lombard Tyres held a tyre patrol 'safety activation' campaign.
Lombard Tyres, in conjunction with the Key West Shopping Centre and President Square, held a tyre patrol ‘safety activation’ campaign recently.
Yolandi Heyns, Marketing and Communications Manager at Lombard Tyres, said that in total they did 370 inspections, which was a total of 1 480 tyres inspected within four hours.
“We first obtained the permission of every vehicle owner to do a tyre safety inspection on the tyres of their vehicles,” she added.
They want to ensure that everyone on the road this winter has tyres that are safe and in good condition. They had five teams of two patrolling the parking lots of the shopping malls in highly identifiable tyre patrol bibs.
This is the fourth year that they have held this campaign at Key West, and the first done at President Square.
