Buying new tyres is one expense that most people can do without. After spending R3 000, Monica van den Berg can vouch for that.
For Monica, entering a competition to win back double the amount of her purchase seemed far-fetched, but then she received a phone call that she in fact had won the competition.
According to Yolandi Heyns, marketing and communications manager at Lombard Tyres, both Monica and her husband bought tyres on the same day and both entered the competition.
“Monica was very surprised, but over the moon when I called her with the good news. She firstly wanted to know the registration number of the winning vehicle to determine whether it was she or her husband that had won!” Yolandi said.
