CPF spoils elderly with clothing

Elderly residents could pick and choose from eight boxes of donated clothes.

Members of the Sector 5 Community Policing Forum reached out to the elderly living in municipal flats and spoiled them with boxes of clothes.

After the recent death of a relative of a patroller, Louise Els donated a total of eight boxes of quality clothing to CPF Sector 5, who in turn passed the clothes on to a number of elderly residents on 5 July.

Excited residents from the Jack Cotton, Pioneer and President flats all came together, and were given the opportunity to pick and choose clothes from the boxes.

The quality second-hand clothes included a selection of summer- and winter-wear in different shapes, sizes and colours.

A pack of adult disposable nappies were also handed over to one of the needy residents.

“It is important for the community to look after their fellow community members. Thank you for your donations,” said Elizabeth Swanepoel, a Sector 5 patroller.
