Men in blue celebrated
Men for Change hosted a late Father's Day celebration for the men in blue.
The West Rand Police Cluster celebrated the men in the force who are fathers at Glenburn Lodge, Muldersdrift on Friday, 8 July.
The men in blue enjoyed a late Father’s Day celebration where they were treated to a motivational speech by Pastor Litabe.
Other dignitaries who were in attendance were the West Rand District Municipality Executive Mayor, Mpho Nawa and Interpol ambassador, Andy Mashile.
At the event the West Rand Cluster Commander and deputy chairperson of the South African Police Service National Women’s Network, Major-General Anna Mateisi, encouraged the men in blue to lead by example by being involved in their children’s lives.
Speakers encouraged them to walk their talk, participate in activities that bring about positive changes within their communities and offices and to be the change that they want to see.
The Men for Change provincial chairperson, Captain Jika, then addressed the guests on the forthcoming Men for Change initiatives. By the time the event came to an end, our men in blue were motivated and encouraged to bring change to their environment.
