Garden World is once again hosting its annual Spring Festival.
Garden World’s annual Spring Festival, Leap into Spring, sets out to inspire gardeners with award-winning designer gardens from 29 July until 4 September.
The official VIP opening took place on 28 July, with the bubbly Lizz Meiring as emcee for the festivities. The VIP guests were also entertained by the very talented Vasti.
This year, 21 gardens competed, with 12 landscapers competing for the first time. Internationally recognised designers, Ray Hudson and David Davidson, who designed this year’s Kirstenbosch South Africa Chelsea Exhibit, had their garden recreated at Garden World.
The overall winner was the Mexican Colonial Hacienda Style Courtyard Garden, which was created by Sonita Young of Young Landscape Design Studio.
Two entries received Water Wise Awards – one being Cycad Odyssey, which was created by Lezani Botha of CycadLady, and the other being Maragon Ruimsig & Avianto’s kiddies garden.
