One dead and four critical as vehicle rolls
It is understood that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll multiple times.
One woman was killed and four others critically injured early on Saturday morning (6 August) when a light motor vehicle rolled off the R114 between Beyers Naudé and Malibongwe Drives in Muldersdrift.
ER24 paramedics found the light motor vehicle some distance from the main road. Two men and two women were lying a short distance from the vehicle, while the fifth person was still inside the vehicle.
When they assessed one of the women whom they had found outside the vehicle, they found she had sustained numerous fatal injuries. Unfortunately, nothing could be done to save her life and she was declared dead.
The other four patients were in a critical condition.
Paramedics initiated advanced life support interventions before the patients were transported to Leratong Hospital for further treatment.
It is understood that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll multiple times.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
