She Glows for Women’s Month

Glow Events held its first She Glows event on Saturday, 20 August at Kloofzicht Lodge, and it was an enriching experience.

The objective of Glow Events is to encourage, equip and empower South African women to become leaders, influencers and instruments of much-needed change in our country, said Kelly Adams, the organisation’s founder.

It was an emotional day, where women were free to share their stories and struggles. There were two guest speakers, Liesl Laurie (Miss South Africa 2015), and LeAnne Dlamini.

Loyiso Bala also made a brief appearance to entertain the women, although a flat battery left him singing his final song without any musical accompaniment.

The underlying message of the day was: “You are not a product of your circumstances, you are a product of your choices.”
