Aprons, beer, bockwurst and pretzels – these were the things guests could enjoy at this years’ recent Tops Bierfest, hosted by Silverstar Casino.
Guests were surrounded by German culture as dirndl-clad waitresses showed off their beer-carrying skills, by making runs and carrying up to 8 beer steins per run.
German music echoed through the hills of Krugersdorp as guests joined the performers in singing the lyrics of their favourite songs.
Families cheered for their favourites as beer-chugging competitions were held, and winners were rewarded with gifts sponsored by various local businesses.
Even the women had a chance to win exclusive gifts as a short game of rock-paper-scissors determined who would participate in the games that followed.
Four women competed in a straight-armed beer-holding challenge. The winner held on, even though her arm was shaking, and stood straight until the bitter end.
Guests danced between tables, sang at the tops of their voices and clapped as this truly merry event came to an end on Sunday.
