Two accidents in two minutes two metres apart.
The truck missed traffic officers and paramedics attending to the first accident by millimetres.
Two separate accidents took place at exactly the same spot minutes apart on the M13 heading towards Kagiso at approximately 3pm today (Friday 9 September).
The first accident left four injured. A fifth person, a truck driver, was injured when he lost control of the truck and ended up in the ditch beside the vehicle involved in the first accident.
A Mogale City Traffic officer said he barely escaped with his life while he was recording the first accident.
The officer was logging a car accident that happened at about 2.50pm when a truck driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the barrier where the officer was standing.
The truck missed the officer and fell into a muddy puddle next to the car that was already in the ditch.
The truck also missed other officers and paramedics attending to the first vehicle incident.
The five injured were taken to nearby hospitals for further medical care.
