60 years of hugs and kisses

Fred and Cicely Dorgan celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on 3 September.
The couple were married in Cape Town on 3 September 1956, and moved to Nairobi, Kenya thereafter. Six years later, they returned to South Africa, where they first lived in Nelspruit before moving to Helderkruin. They live in Panorama Estate in Rangeview at present.
The couple has three children and eight grandchildren.
“There does not appear to be a secret recipe for a happy and fulfilling marriage, other than a deepening love and appreciation of one another, and a kiss and a hug at the start and end of a day,” said Fred.
“What also helps is that disagreements are followed by a pause, and a good look at each other before laughing the matter away.”
