Kaboom! What was that?
Police are searching the area where an explosion occurred last night.
Residents of Kenmare and the larger Krugersdorp area heard a loud bang last night just after 6pm.
Rumours surfaced that the sound originated from a deserted gas tank that caught fire and exploded.
However, after investigating the scene, the Krugersdorp police’s K9 Unit and Bomb Squad found traces of some sort of explosive on the scene.
The scene is still being searched in an effort to gather more evidence.
The News is awaiting official police comment.
