Calling all braaiers to help set world record

The 9th Day Animal Rescue urges braai enthusiasts to help break a Guinness World Record by hosting the biggest braai ever, all for a worthy cause.

A year ago, Bismarck was saved by The 9th Day Animal Rescue organisation while being used to train other dogs for illegal dog fighting. In celebration of his birthday the organisation will attempt to break a Guinness World Record.

Avid braaiers, animal lovers, philanthropists and world record enthusiasts are urged to part take in the event, which will serve as a fundraising platform for saving The 9th Day Animal Rescue, all while attempting to break a Guinness World Record.

The event will take place on National Braai Day, 24 September, at Koedoe Park and promises to be great fun for the entire family. The two main events will be a dog walk and a Braai World Record attempt. You can also look forward to fantastic live entertainment, stalls and a beer garden.

All proceeds from the day will go to the animal rescue organisation. Krugersdorp has no SPCA and this organisation is one of many animal shelters in the community. They currently look after 190 animals.
