Head-on collision leaves six injured
The two seriously injured patients were carefully extracted from their vehicles.
ER24 paramedics, working with other private emergency service personnel rescued six people after they had been injured in a head-on collision between two light motor vehicles on Saturday, 17 September.
The incident took place at the junction of Beyers Naudé Drive and Clinic Road in Muldersdrift.
The paramedics discovered two of the six injured had sustained serious injuries while the other four had only sustained moderate injuries.
The two seriously injured patients were carefully extracted from their vehicles and treated with advance life support interventions on the scene. They were then rushed to hospital for further medical treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation as the cause of the collision was not yet known.
No less than four collisions have taken place at this intersection since the beginning of the year.
