A 32-year-old man with sticky fingers was arrested for being in possession of stolen property at Hekpoort on Wednesday, 2 November, after a farm owner received a tip-off that the suspect had stolen goods from his farm.

The farmer approached the suspect and upon searching his bag, found a smart-phone battery charger which had been stolen from the store-room on the farm. The suspect could not explain where he got the charger.

The farmer called the police and the man was arrested for being in possession of stolen property. He has since appeared in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court and the investigation continues.
