Panga-wielding suspects arrested

When the police got to them, not even the panga they used to rob a house could help them.

Two men, aged 21 and 25, were arrested on charges of theft and robbery on Thursday, 10 November in Kagiso after they broke into a house and attacked its owner.

When he fought back, they fled on foot. Although the suspects were armed with a panga and put a great deal of effort into breaking into the house, all they managed to steal was a cellphone and a pair of gloves.

The Kagiso Police Station received information on the whereabouts of the suspects shortly after the incident, pounced on them, and arrested them. They will appear in court soon.
