Alleged Satanic sexual offender on the run

Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted another man and claimed to be a Satanist.

The Kagiso police are appealing to the community to help them find a suspect who has been on the run since he committed crimes in October.

The suspect allegedly approached a man who was on his way home from church, and told him that he would give him information about his stolen property, but in return he wanted to be paid the sum of R1 500 for his services.

The complainant believed him and allowed the suspect into his room. There the suspect pointed at him with an unknown object.

The victim says that his body then became numb and powerless and that is when the suspect stole cash, a cellphone and clothes, but that was not enough for him. He continued to threaten the victim with the unknown weapon and sexually assaulted him. Before the suspect left the victim’s house, he told the victim that he was a Satanist and when the complainant tried to follow him he disappeared.

“The Kagiso police are appealing to any member of the public who knows the suspect to immediately call the investigating officer, Sergeant Au, of the Family Violence, Sexual Offences and Child Protection Unit, on 083 727 6809,” said Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya, the spokesperson for the Kagiso police.
