Biker injured in collision
Skid marks on the road suggest the vehicle swerved in front of the biker.
A motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital after his bike collided with a vehicle on the R28 while travelling from Silverstar Casino towards Cedar Lodge this afternoon (5 January).
It is not clear what exactly happened prior to the collision, but reports from the scene suggest that the vehicle allegedly swerved in front of the biker.
Skid marks of about five metres could be seen on the road where the collision occurred. The impact of the collision caused the biker to fly through the air and land on the left side of the road, which had to be sectioned off.
It is alleged the biker suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Members of the Sector 3 Community Policing Forum were on the scene regulating the traffic while Krugersdorp Police were assessing the scene.
The section of the road has since been reopened to traffic.
