Husband saves wife from violent neighbour

The complainant was stabbed multiple times and had wounds in both his upper and lower body.

A 53-year-old man was arrested at his residence in Tshepisong Phase 2, Kagiso on 11 January at about 3.30am for an alleged violent attack on his neighbour and his neighbours’ wife.

The complainant was at his residence in Kagiso on Wednesday, 4 January when he noticed that the suspect (his neighbour) appeared to be assaulting his (the complainant’s) wife nearby.

The complainant allegedly tried to intervene to try to stop the suspect from injuring his wife. The suspect then drew a sharp object and proceeded to stab the complainant.

The complainant was stabbed multiple times and had wounds in both his upper and lower body. When the fight ended, he was rushed to a local hospital where he was admitted. The matter was later reported at the Kagiso Police Station, where a case of attempted murder was opened.

The suspect was arrested a week later and will appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court soon.
