Suspect fires shots at community
Community members contacted the police and the suspect was arrested.
Krugersdorp Police have arrested a 30-year-old suspect, a day after he allegedly pointed a firearm at a number of community members and then fired shots at them in Munsieville, on Monday, 20 February.

It is alleged community members contacted the police after they were shot at. They claimed the suspect ran into the hills after shooting at them.
Police members were sent to the scene and the police helicopter was dispatched for air support. The police could not locate the suspect, but the community members told them where he was living, and they proceeded to the address. They searched his shack and found stolen goods and ammunition, but the suspect was nowhere to be found.

Police received a tip-off the next morning, claiming that the suspect was in his shack. Upon arrival they found the suspect with more ammunition. He then led the police to where his firearm was hidden. They recovered the unlicensed firearm and arrested the suspect. He was detained at the Krugersdorp Police station and will appear in court soon.
Brigadier Baloyi, the Krugersdorp Police station commander, would like to thank the community of Munsieville for helping the police to arrest the suspect.
