Social media ‘flooded’ with Dineo posts

Instead of staying indoors, a few adventurous citizens made some incredible videos of themselves either water-skiing in the streets or tubing over a flooded cornfield.

The News has always admired people who make the most of their situations and to be honest, South Africans are the best example of people who turn their frowns upside down despite their worsened circumstances. Take Trevor Noah, the South African comedian, for instance – he makes jokes about politicians and admits that we as a nation laugh through the pain.

Over the past few days, the northern parts of our country endured a tropical cyclone for the first time in about 5 years. However, the storm hardly affected areas south of the borders of Gauteng.

The aftermath of the storm did, however include a few days of pouring rain and social media has been ‘flooded’ with posts of people who used the water to enjoy themselves.

Instead of staying indoors, a few adventurous citizens made some incredible videos of themselves, either water-skiing in the streets or tubing over a flooded cornfield.
