Another policeman dies in Krugersdorp
This is the second policeman from outside Krugersdorp who has died in collisions in the city.
A beloved policeman died in a motor vehicle collision near Pinehaven last night, 24 February at about 8 pm.
Sergeant Mafora of Honeydew Police died on scene after the vehicle he was traveling in collided with another near the intersection of the R28 and Hendrik Potgieter Road.
Little is known about the details of the crash, however, local authorities were on scene to determine the cause of the collision. BCI security expressed its condolences to Marofa’s family.
“Go well my friend,” a message from BCI Security said.
This is the second police officer from outside Krugersdorp who has died in collisions in the City this year. The previous officer was a former Colonel, Fanie van der Watt, from Sandton Police station. He died in a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV on the R563 Hekpoort road earlier this year.
