Silverstar bringing fitness back in fashion

The aim of the gym is to demonstrate that fitness is not only limited to exercising in a gym.

Silverstar, in partnership with PopUpGym, will be bringing a new health and fitness movement to the picturesque West Rand, and on Saturday morning, 4 March, Silverstar will be taken over by fitness enthusiasts squatting and crunching in formation.

PopUpGym was founded by health and fitness gurus, Letshego Zulu and Khethiwe Mlangeni, in 2015. The aim of the gym is to demonstrate that fitness is not only limited to exercising in a gym – one can get a good, and fun, workout anywhere at any time.

Sanele Ntombela, Marketing Manager at Silverstar Casino said, “We always aim to bring our guests experiences that are not only entertaining, but educational and inspiring. Together with PopUpGym, we are aiming to raise awareness of the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle with this event”.

There will be three exhilarating workouts coupled with healthy eating advice, plus a smoothie and juicing demo. Guests will also get an opportunity to do body assessments, which include a weigh-in, and fat percentage and muscle mass measurements.

“We hope to see West Rand residents come out in their numbers, in their best gym gear and enthusiastic spirits”, concluded Ntombela.

Tickets are on sale at R200 per person, and are available online via www.silverstarcasino.co.za. Registration for the gym takes place from 7am until 8am at Silverstar, at The Square. Each participant will be gifted with a goody bag worth R350.
