Warning to church members praying in mountains
Mashale advised people to walk in groups when going up a mountain to pray.
There is a large increase in the number of people being robbed in mountains.
The Krugersdorp Police warns residents to be careful as these victims are threatened with knives and firearms and robbed of their personal belongings.

“It is a concern and we would like to appeal to the community to be extra vigilant when they approach such places,” said Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale, spokesperson of the Krugersdorp Police.
The community is urged to notify the police immediately if they spot suspicious vehicles and people to avoid being targeted by these criminals. Mashale advised people to walk in groups when going up a mountain to pray.
In a recent case reported to police four men with knives approached their two victims. They tried to run, but the attackers allegedly caught them, assaulted them and took their personal belongings.
