Two men arrested for business robbery
Fortunately the incident was captured by the CCTV cameras on the premises.
In the early hours of Thursday, 23 March, two suspects were arrested by the Tarlton Police.
The two men, aged 31 and 48, attempted to rob the Gracor Diesel depot that is situated in Vlakplaas at Tarlton.
It is alleged that at about 2am the complainant and her co-worker were on duty when they suddenly heard a knock on the office door. The perpetrators pointed a firearm at them and ordered them to lie down on the floor. They then took off with an undisclosed amount of money. Fortunately the incident was captured by the CCTV cameras on the premises.

Intensive investigation led the police to an address in Mohlakeng area where they arrested the two men. The police also recovered a silver BMW X5, which they believe was used during the crime.
The West Rand Cluster commander, Major General Anna Mateisi, applauded the Tarlton Police, the Cluster Trio Task Team, the West Rand Flying Squad and all members who assisted in the arrest, saying, “We will always ensure that criminals are brought to book and give them no room to terrorise our communities”.

The police urge the community to report any information that may lead to the arrest of other suspects to 011 952 0012 or to Crime Stop, on 0860 010 111.
