Planned protest against drugs this Saturday

Find out how you can join the march and where it will take place here.

The local drug-fighting group, Krugersdorp War Against Drugs, is planning a march against drugs, drug lords and human trafficking through the streets of Krugersdorp West on Saturday 6 May.

The march aims to create awareness about the drug problem in Krugersdorp and to show drug lords that community members are fed up with the distribution of drugs and the destruction it causes.

The group will hand over a memorandum of demands to the Krugersdorp Police at the end of the march.

With local authorities making drug discoveries almost daily, it is understandable why community members would want to join this march.

The most recent public drug bust was carried out by Drift Reaction and the local Community Policing Forum at three shelters in Krugersdorp.

The group of peaceful protesters will meet at Delta Spar in Rustenburg Road, Krugersdorp West at 9am on Saturday.
