Minor arrested for robbing liquor store
It is suspected the boy was not alone and more arrests are imminent.
A week after a 14-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly murdering his friend, a 16-year-old boy was arrested in Hekpoort after he allegedly ransacked a business on Thursday, 27 April.
The business is located on the R24 near Maanhaarand.

The boy, who resides in Maanhaarand, broke into a liquor store and stole a large quantity of liquor before fleeing the scene.
Detective Constable Qoboza, an officer at the Hekpoort Police Station, was assigned to investigate the matter. He ensured a proper follow-up on the case and secured the arrest of the minor.

It is suspected that the boy was not alone, and more arrests are expected in due course.
The suspect will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 5 May.
