Man wanted to assist police with Krugersdorp murders
The other accused will appear in the High Court tomorrow.
The News recently published an ID sketch of an unknown man, presumably from the West Rand, who is wanted by the police.

Since the publication of the sketch, the News has been informed that the man has been linked to the Krugersdorp Triple Murders case. Zak Valentine (31), Cecilia Steyn (35), Marinda Steyn (50) and Marinda’s children, Le Roux (21) and Marcel (18), stand accused of 23 charges in connection with the murders of three Krugersdorpers in May last year.
The police believe the wanted man will be able to assist them with their investigation. In May 2016, insurance broker Anthony Scholefield (64) was found dead in the boot of his car after he arranged to meet with a client in the area. A week later, the body of Kevin McAlpine (29), another insurance broker, was found in his car after he failed to return from a meeting with a client. Hanle Lategan (52), an estate agent, went missing on May 30 while on her way to an appointment with a client. Her body was found in a field in Randfontein the next morning.
The accused will make their first High Court appearance tomorrow, 5 May.
The investigating officer, Captain Ben Booysen, urges the community to inform him of any information available about the unknown man. Booysen can be contacted on 082 447 4963. Information will be treated as confidential.
