Cradlestone Game employees hack cat to death
"We are appalled by the actions of the staff member concerned and have issued an immediate notice of suspension pursuant to conducting a disciplinary hearing."
A stray cat was killed after a staff member at Game in Cradlestone Mall hacked it to death with a hockey stick.
The incident took place on Wednesday, 3 May at about 4.45pm.
Game Stores released a statement stating that they had called the NSPCA immediately after seeing a social media post about the incident. They launched an investigation to ensure the allegations were true, and discovered that they were indeed factual.

“We are appalled by the actions of the staff member concerned and have issued an immediate notice of suspension pursuant to conducting a disciplinary hearing. We will also implement disciplinary action against two additional staff members who were involved in the incident.”
The statement was released by Massdiscounters, owners of Game and Dions South Africa.
Game Management also expressed their disgust at the appalling actions of these staff members.

“This behaviour is not in any way representative of the standard of conduct that we expect of Game employees and we apologise unreservedly to all those people who are understandably offended by this incident.”
