Three ejected from car – only one lives
It is believed the patients were not wearing seatbelts and were flung out of the vehicle on impact.
Two people died and another one was left critically injured after the driver of the vehicle they were travelling in lost control and the vehicle rolled on Albertina Sisulu Road (Main Reef Road) near the Barratt Road split last week.
Eye-witnesses told paramedics that the occupants of the vehicle were ejected while the vehicle was rolling.

Quick Response Service (QRS) paramedics found one occupant already deceased upon arrival on scene. They also found two other occupants who were both critically injured.
They worked on one while Gauteng Provincial Government EMS paramedics worked on the other.

Shortly after, QRS paramedics loaded a critically injured patient into the ambulance to transport to hospital. Unfortunately the patient’s condition deteriorated drastically. They tried to resuscitate the person, but his injuries were so severe that all efforts to save her were unsuccessful.
Emergency services urge every person travelling in a vehicle to buckle up every time. It could save your life.
