They asked the robber how he obtained his information and how he chose the people he robbed. The answer was simple: “Everything is on social media”.
The robber stated that he had seen when people left for holiday and how long they’d be away.
The police decided to use this information to warn others against the usage of social media and gave the following tips:
• Do not advertise your happiness and wealth on social media
• Do not advertise your holidays on social media
• Do not advertise your children’s achievements on social media
• Do not advertise your expensive buys on social media
Remember:
• Any one can save your pictures and check your updates
• Social media has eyes and ears and spreads like wild-fire, do not fall into this trap
Don’t forget: Report any crime taking place in your area at the nearest police station.
