Mob justice for suspected burglars
The woman came home to find her TV in the street and a group of community members assaulting the suspects.
On Thursday, 18 May at about noon, policemen arrested two suspects after they were caught and assaulted by community members for alleged burglary.
A woman left her residence at about 7am that morning, locking the doors and making sure everything was closed. When she returned home at 10am, she was surprised to see her plasma TV lying in the street. She noticed a group of people standing outside her yard and when she got closer she saw people lying on the ground as well. The group of people were busy assaulting two men.

The men were suspected of breaking into her house and had received the bad end of mob justice as community members assaulted them to the point where they had sustained head and face injuries. The community members then called the police and handed the suspects over to them.
Kagiso Police arrested both men and a case docket of burglary was opened.
They made a brief appearance in court and were remanded in custody for their bail application.
